about

This song was inspired by the support shown by the community throughout the Covid-19 crisis, especially the pictures of rainbows drawn by children and displayed in their living room windows. A symbol and message of hope, it shows that everyone can play their part no matter what age and even in the darkest days.
All monies collected for the purchase of this track on Bandcamp will be donated to NHS Charities Together.

lyrics

Heavy days and heavy news
Infuse this weighty feeling pressing on my shoulders
How can I remain the same
When the world is halted, life so altered now?

The shining sun seems to smile upon us
But the sky should be black with tears for the fallen ones,
The unsung ones, the forgotten ones
Whose light went out alone.

And I wonder how many people
Were brought back from the brink of despair
On seeing your rainbow picture
Sellotaped in the window there?

And I wonder how many people
Were brought back from the brink of despair
On seeing your bright rainbow picture
Sellotaped in the window there?
